SLOVENIA – Tehnical tour
The full-day tehnical tour on 20th November introduces you to the prime tourist sites of Slovenia.
After breakfast we leave Portorož as we set towards Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. We visit University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. A scenic 45 min drive through the lush Slovenian countryside brings us to Radovljica for a lunch.
Next on our itinerary is the iconic Lake Bled, an essential postcard-perfect gem in Slovenia. The lake stands at the door of Julian Alps and on a sunny day you can catch a glimpse of Mt Triglav (2864 m), Slovenia’s highest mountain. The bell tower of a medieval church rises proudly from a tiny islet in the midst of the lake guarded by the castle on the cliffs. To reach the island, we embark on a traditional boat – pletna, a unique craft exclusive to Bled since 1590. Take time to taste the renowned Bled cake, Kremšnita, before we return to Portorož in the late afternoon. And if you’re up for it, feel free to wander through the charming streets of Piran and enjoy the Venetian architecture.
