Welcome address
Distinguished ICAT Colleagues, Researchers and Students,
On behalf of the International Committee for Abrasive Technology (ICAT), the International Grinding Institute (IGI), and the University of Ljubljana it is our great pleasure that we extend this invitation to the 26th International Symposium on Advances in Abrasive Technology (ISAAT) in Portoroz, Slovenia from the 17th to 20th of November 2024.
The ISAAT2024 will bring together world-renowned academics and practitioners presenting the latest advancements in abrasive technology. The symposium will also serve as an international platform to discuss and share new ideas, consolidate existing collaborations, and establish new partnerships with leading researchers in the field.
This is the first time the ISAAT is coming to Slovenia. Situated in the ‘heart’ of Europe, the stable, prosperous, and welcoming Slovenia is a charming and comfortable place to stay and visit, with architecturally grand, antique cities, as well as quaint beach resorts and coastal towns – all carefully embedded in the cultural tour.
We are confident that with your participation, this event will be successful as well as pleasurable and we look forward to welcoming you to Portoroz in 2024.
Peter Krajnik (Symposium chairman)
Xun Chen and Franci Pusavec (Symposium co-chairmen)
